Dear Parents,
It is mid winter and we are in the midst of the cold and flu season and we have also had a tummy bug go through classrooms so there are a number of children absent each day. Apart from illness and trips overseas, the majority of our children are sent to school regularly. Unfortunately though, there are a few children who seem to be very good at talking mum and dad into letting them stay home from school and the tummy pains they swear they are having miraculously disappear as soon as they are allowed to stay home! However, I am sure you can understand how miserable they feel if they are sent to school sick and end up in sick bay, so it would be great if you could keep them home.
I thought you might be interested in the following table which shows the effect of letting your child stay home from school regularly and even occasionally:
Dance Programme
Ezra from Dance Curriculum loved being at VAS and it seemed to me that the children loved having him teach dance. The two concerts were well received by parents and it was great to see parents busting the moves with their children.
Kind Regards

With more than 15 years of teaching experience, LeeAnna has taught ballet to students from over 15 different countries. She studied classical ballet for the majority of her life in the United States, and has taught at international schools in Switzerland and in Myanmar (Burma).
These After-school Ballet classes will be a fun introduction to formal ballet training. Children will learn ballet terminology, movements, and fundamental positions with an emphasis on improving body awareness and coordination. Ensuring that students receive individual attention within the group setting will be important during classes.
Ballet attire is encouraged: leotard, tights, ballet slippers, and (optional) skirt.
Mostly importantly, students should wear clothing that is flexible and allows for comfortable movement.
Cost: $220 for Term 3
