It is hard to believe we are half way through the school year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the teaching team and support staff for all that they do for our children. Also a big thank you to our parent community for your continued support.
Just a reminder that interviews are set for Wednesday 29 July between 2.20pm and 6.00pm and Thursday 30 July between 3.20 pm and 5.00 pm. Some classes may start slightly earlier on Thursday 30 July to ensure enough interview slots are available. Interviews are 10 minutes long, and you are asked to be punctual for your appointment so that all following appointments run to time.
See instructions below detailing how to book your interview.
Please note that these are not 3 way conferences. You are welcome to bring your child with you, but it is an opportunity for a conversation between parents and teachers. To maximise the use of this time please email your child’s teacher with responses to the following:
- Comments on how your child has settled into school this term.
- Key areas you would like to discuss at this interview
- Your child’s areas of strength
- Curriculum areas you believe need to be a focus for your child this year
- Any other issues we need to be aware of in order to support your child.
Please note – Students will need to be collected from school at 2.00pm on Wednesday 29 July
We received some great news this week that the Ministry of Education has approved our request to proceed to the procurement phase for two new classrooms for the school. This allows us to proceed with engaging with the construction market to find a suitable builder. These new classrooms will provide some much needed breathing room for the school allowing further upgrades to be advanced next year and the other years ahead.
The reclad of the admin building is on track and completion is due in August. A new kitchen for the staff has been ordered along with some much needed new furniture. Refurbishment of the girls toilets in the main block is also on track will be completed in August (or hopefully sooner) and the boys toilets will follow later and should be completed in December.
